How We Build and Review Our Calculators</h2>

Every calculator on 360Calculator goes through the same process before it is published. This page explains what that process looks like so you know what to expect from the results you get here.

Finding the Right Formula

We start with the formula. Before we build anything, we identify where the calculation comes from and what authority sits behind it. For dog and pet health calculators we reference veterinary standards from organizations like the American Kennel Club and guidelines from the USDA Animal Welfare Act. For unit conversions we use definitions published by NIST. For medical or health related calculators we reference CDC guidelines or published clinical research.

We do not use formulas we cannot trace to a reliable source. If we cannot verify where a formula comes from, we do not build the calculator.

Testing Before Publishing

Once a calculator is built, we test it against known values before it goes live. This means running inputs where we already know what the correct output should be and confirming the calculator matches. We look for edge cases, unusual inputs, and boundary conditions that might cause incorrect results.

A calculator does not go live until it passes this testing step.

Article Content

Every calculator comes with an article that explains what the calculator does, what the inputs mean, and how to read the result. These articles are written by our content team and reviewed for accuracy before publishing. We aim for clear, plain language that explains the topic without unnecessary jargon.

Citing Sources

Where a formula or data point comes from a specific source, we reference it in the article. We do this so you can check our work. If a source changes its standards or data, we update the calculator and article to match.

Corrections

We take accuracy seriously. If you find an error in one of our calculators or articles, please contact us through our Contact page. We investigate every report and publish corrections when errors are confirmed. We do not quietly fix errors without acknowledging them.

Independence

Our calculators and articles are produced independently. We do not accept payment to feature specific results, adjust how a calculator works, or promote any product or service through our content. What you see is what our team built based on the formula and the source, nothing else.
